CNN's Pamela Brown Rips into Trump's Hurricane Helene Claims

During a Friday night show, CNN's Pamela Brown demolished Donald Trump's lies about relief regarding Hurricane Helene.

The Republicans are looking to do anything they can to make Joe Biden and by extension, Kamala Harris, look bad. And the recent hurricane has given the former President the opportunity to do so. The problem for Trump, though, is that the Democrats have done everything they can to help the victims of Helene.

The CNN segment began with Brown showing a clip of Donald Trump talking about hurricane relief. He lied, "they stole the money just like they stole it from a bank so they could give it to their illegal immigrants that they want to have vote for them in this year's election."

Brown then explained, "One: It is illegal for undocumented immigrants to vote in presidential elections." She continued, "Two: Congress appropriates funds for specific purposes. The money allocated to DHS for helping states to house migrants is separate from the money for disasters. No money is being stolen from disaster relief."

The CNN host closed:

"The concern is that if people hear the money is going elsewhere, they may not apply for relief. This official says people should know there is money available now to help. If you or a loved one needs disaster relief help, you should visit disasterassistance.gov or dial 1-800-621-FEMA."
