We have seen a lot of music venues in our day. From New York’s famous Bowery Ballroom, which is probably the best venue in the city for seeing indie bands, to the notorious Santos Party House, where you can dance until there’s blood in your boots, this list is a comprehensive look at some of New York’s best rock venues.
Each of these venues is unique, independently owned, and passionately committed to keeping the downtown area’s authentic underground music culture alive and well. Sith top spinners of off-kilter house, cosmic disco, funk and soul regularly taking to the decks on various stages around the city, it is thanks to these places that we always have a place to rock out.
