Ariana Grande has already topped the charts with her many hits, such as “The Way”, “Break Free”, “One Last Time” and “Problem”, and she will be gracing our televisions screens in the upcoming FOX horror comedy Scream Queens. Now, she is continuing to make her mark by giving us Ari by Ariana Grande. The fragrance will be in stores in September.
Ariana Grande took to Instagram to advertise her new perfume. In one image, she is seen posing solo, with one leg lifted and an up-do. The photo is simply captioned “ #september #ari”, with a URL to her fragrance’s website. Fans seem to be excited about her new endeavor because the photo currently has 1,393,551 likes on Instagram. In a video posted on Instagram, flashes of images play, including the name of the fragrance and its bottle design, while 50s music plays in the background. The video is captioned “ So excited to finally share the bottle design for my fragrance with you babbbbbes. I’m so in love with this and absolutely cannot wait to share it with you.” The video has gained 586,535 likes.
On Ariana Grande’s website for her new perfume, there is a black and white video showing Ariana roller skating, laughing, and simply enjoying life. The video pays tribute to past pop culture divas such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Ariana’s “two style icons” inspired not only the video but the entire advertising campaign. The teaser video is actually quite refreshing to see, compared to the typical sexually charged fragrance ads we see daily.
The fragrance has notes of “sparkling fruits, florals, musks, woods, and an addictive hint of marshmallow.” Now doesn’t that sound amazingly delicious?
Ariana has said “ I’m a fragrance girl. I love perfumes, body sprays; I love lotions that smell really good. I sort of, like, collect perfumes and everything, so it’s hard for me to pinpoint my favorite ones.” So I don’t expect for this to be the last fragrance Ms. Grande releases.
