With Nothing Better to Do, Trump Actually Showed Up to the Mar-a-Lago Christmas Party This Year
Donald Trump was in a bad place in late December of 2020. The former president was humiliated after his loss to Joe Biden. And all of his efforts to overturn the election results had failed.
By then, Trump had fled Washington DC and was camping out at Mar-a-Lago. And, of course, there is always a major New Years’ Eve Party at the club. The 45th president, however, was way too embarrassed to attend his own party.
The show went on. Revelers were entertained by Vanilla Ice and Mike Love from the Beach Boys. The event was heavily criticized for the lack of masks before the COVID vaccine was released.

With nothing better to do this year, Trump showed up at the 2021 New Years Party. Photos from the event soon hit Instagram.
Trump was there, of course, basking in the adulation of the people who actually paid to get into the event. Family members like Melania and Don Jr. were there as well. ‘Celebrity’ attendees included Candace Owens, Jason Aldean, and Matt Gaetz.
