Whoopi Goldberg: Don't Fall For Attempts To Humanize Trump

The media has moved to humanize Donald Trump in the wake of last week's assassination attempt and Whoopi Goldberg says that needs to stop.

Donald Trump has never seemed like a normal person. The businessman has always presented himself as more important than others, whether that be as a media figure or as a politician.

Trump's handlers, though, feel that the attempted shooting could help draw sympathy for the candidate, something that has been an issue for him in the past.

Goldberg first defended President Biden, saying, "I can barely remember anybody's name. I don't know who they are. So, I'm not going to take any issues because there are times when I can't remember stuff. There are times when I go for a word, and it's not there, and I'm just not going to go and decide that's the problem. If he falls low in this next debate, I'll consider changing my outlook."

Moving to Trump, the host continued:

Now, for me, I have a lot of faith in the American people, and I don't know very many men who want to be talked to the way that this man has been talking to men in his audience. I don't know any women, and I know his grandchild was up on the thing, and they're trying to humanize him and change your idea about who this guy is. Don't fall for that."

"So, my belief is in us as voters who want an America that we can -- we can -- we are always going to fight about stuff in this country, because it's not a country of one person. It is a country of many thoughts, that's why there are elections."
