White House Source Says Trump Has Been Worried About Fauci For Some Time Now
President Donald Trump is a narcissist. He is also frequently wrong.
During this pandemic, it has been a necessity for him to have infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci at his side during the daily briefings on the COVID-19 crisis.
Of course, we have all seen the viral photo of Fauci facepalming at comments Trump made from the White House press room podium. We have also witnessed Fauci correct Trump’s misinformation for the sake of the public on numerous occasions.
It should come as no surprise, then, that Trump is worried about Fauci with regards to what the doctor’s newfound status as a household name is doing to his reputation.
According to CNN’s Jim Acosta, certainly not one of Trump’s favorite people, a source has told him that Trump is “fretting about Fauci.”

Fauci has been doing news appearances since he has become the public face of the rational part of the coronavirus task force. During one said appearance on CNN, Fauci essentially said that earlier action on the part of the government could have meant fewer deaths from COVID-19.
That, of course, set Trump off. He actually retweeted a tweet with the #FireFauci hashtag from one of his deranged supporters.

When pressed on the matter by Jake Tapper, host of CNN’s The Lead and the network’s Sunday show State of the Union, Fauci simply said, “it is what it is.”
Of course, Trump and his cronies spent weeks calling the virus a hoax meant to hurt his reelection chances, in the meantime wasting precious days that could have possibly saved lives here in America and around the world. Even as the body count rises, Trump wants to get rid of the one person who might be able to save us all: Anthony Fauci.
