We’re Getting ‘Government From Rush Limbaugh’s Studio’ Says Tim Ryan
Ohio Democrat Tim Ryan suggests Donald Trump will do anything to protect his base, even going as far as to say the American people are getting “government from Rush Limbaugh’s studio in south Florida.”
During his Wednesday appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Ryan accuses Trump of making deals with lawmakers and then reneging on those offers moments later.
“You could make a deal in a room with a handshake and by the time he’s out of the room the deal’s over, he’s in front of the camera.”
In the video shared by Talking Points Memo, Ryan blames the president’s penchant for rescinding on deals on “the investigation that’s breathing down his neck right now,” adding, “So his only goal is to appeal to Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh.”
“He feels like he has to protect that base, because he fears what’s coming down the pike in the investigation. As long as that is the case, you have the tail wagging the dog, and we are going to get government from Rush Limbaugh’s studio in south Florida.”

Ryan’s comments follow Trump catching heat from the conservative media, which lead to the president turning his back on a bipartisan spending bill that would’ve avoided a government shutdown up until February. Trump has also received pressure from conservatives personalities — including Ann Coulter and Limbaugh — who’ve demanded he holds steady on his request for $5 billion in funding for the border wall.
