While he certainly has some competition, Tucker Carlson has emerged as the most extreme voice on the Fox News network. And his bosses seemingly have no interest in reigning him in despite constant controversy.

Of course, there are those who think the country would be a better place if the Conservative pundit wasn’t on the air. Jimmy Kimmel, though, is not one of them. The late-night host recently claimed that there is value in knowing what Carlson is thinking.
Kimmel told Kara Swisher on the Sway podcast, “No, I don’t think we should cancel Tucker Carlson.” He continued, “I don’t think it’s a good idea to shut people up, because I want to know where people are coming from. I want to know what they think. I want to know if they have horrible thoughts. I want to hear them. I want to hear their confessions.”
While he somewhat defended Carlson, Kimmel also took time to rip into him as well.
“I think he is a phony,” the late-night host said. “I think he’s an algorithm. I think his audience created him. I think he started out as a fairly down-the-middle-political broadcaster in a cute little bow tie with polka-dots on it. “I think he’s like the media version of the Sackler family. He’s knowingly producing this deadly opioid of lies that has a devastating effect on the country. But he’s OK with it, because it’s making him rich.”
