Vice President Kamala Harris had a busy weekend campaigning on the West Coast before she cut her trip short to return to Washington to attend to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
After a much-discussed trip to the border in Arizona--which seemed to get under Donald Trump's thin skin--the Vice President spoke at a private fundraiser in Los Angeles on Sunday attended by some major Hollywood players, the Vice President where she poked fun at her opponent's most sensitive spots with remarks about sizes, his refusal to debate her again, and his privileged background.
Her “crowds are pretty big," Vice President Harris quipped to celebrities such as Stevie Wonder, Keegan Michael-Key, Sterling K. Brown, Demi Lovato, Jessica Alba, and Lily Tomlin. “We just see the same old tired show from the same old tired playbook,” she told the donors on Sunday in response to Donald Trump's latest comments that she's "mentally impaired."
Later that evening at a packed rally in Las Vegas, Vice President Harris got in more jabs when she told the crowd of over 7500 that she was ready to debate Trump again. “The American people have a right to hear us discuss the issues," VP Harris said to cheers." And as you say here in Las Vegas, I’m all in. I’m all in.”
Vice President Harris was meant to stay in Vegas for more campaigning on Monday but instead was at FEMA Headquarters to speak to both the American people as well as the staff.
