WATCH: Tucker Carlson Explains Why He Was Fired By Fox

In April 2023, Tucker Carlson was fired by Fox News. The move came as a surprise to many as his was the most-watched show on the network. The Conservative pundit now hosts a show on Twitter.

Carlson also has the ability to go on other shows and be a little more brash than he would be if still employed by Fox. This includes podcasts like the one hosted by comedian Roseanne Barr.

During the discussion, the topic of his departure from Fox came up. He told Barr, "I didn’t expect to get, you know, my show canceled Monday morning. But I wasn’t, if I took three steps back, I was not surprised at all. First of all, television is like that. People get fired. There are all kinds of lines that no one will explain explicitly."

Carlson continued, "They were very nice to me the entire time I was there, but I could feel that they strongly disagreed in the war in Ukraine stuff,” he added. “But they really didn’t like that at all. The January 6th stuff."

"I think a bunch of people quit over that,” Carlson continued. “Chris Wallace should not be on television or Jonah Goldberg or you know what I mean? These are people who obviously the audience hated and shouldn’t have been there in the first place, but they were so outraged because they said. You know, it seems like there probably a lot of feds in the crowd on January 6th."
