Now out of the White House, Donald Trump no longer gets to enjoy the legal protections of the office. As a result, he is now facing a string of investigations and lawsuits. He has desperately tried to stop them but to no avail.

Trump’s most serious current case is the civil one run by New York AG Letitia James. A judge recently ruled that Trump and his family must testify in the case.
The former President said back in 2017, “The mob takes the Fifth. If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?” Despite this, Trump still may take the 5th in New York, and his lawyer says he is between a rock and a hard place.
Alina Habba said during a Tuesday appearance on Newsmax, “We are going on all avenues against Letitia James, not just with the courts, and it has to be stopped. And people in this state should really be frightened if you’re a real estate tycoon, and you have valuations of property, and you happen to be on the other side of politics with Letitia James.”
The Trump lawyer continued, “I haven’t made a determination on what I think is best at this point. Unfortunately, they put them between a rock and a hard place. But I can tell you we’re appealing the decision.”
