WATCH: Trump’s Hand-Picked Candidate Herschel Walker Doesn’t Want Him Telling Republicans Not to Vote

Donald Trump is ostensibly in charge of the Republican party. The GOP put him there because they are convinced he gives them the best shot at getting Republicans elected.

The strategy is a dangerous one. Because Trump is always going to put himself before any party or any individual. He did this recently when talking about the 2022 midterms.

“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020,” Trump moaned, “Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24,” Trump said. “It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”

Herschel Walker is Trump’s hand-picked candidate to win back a Georgia senate seat in 2022. And the Republican hopeful knows that it is going to be very hard to do if supporters don’t actually vote for him.

When asked about Trump’s statement, Walker said, “that is not the right message. Everyone has to get out there and vote. We can’t look at the past. President Trump, I’m very honored that he endorsed me. He knew I’m the right man for the job. But he knows Herschel Walker is going to do it Herschel Walker’s way. Meaning I’m going to go out and run for this seat. It’s not Donald Trump running for it, it’s Herschel Walker running for it.”
