[WATCH] Trump Is Facing Real Legal Trouble, Says Former Watergate Prosecutor

The question of whether or not Donald Trump will actually face real legal consequences as a result of the multiple investigations into his involvement in the January 6th plot to keep him in power may finally be answered as the Department of Justice is facing increased pressure to officially charge Trump with federal crimes.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said in an interview on Thursday that Trump “probably” will be indicted on criminal charges along with officials in his White House as part of the DOJ’s investigation of efforts to reverse the 2020 Presidential election results. But before that happens, Holder suggested, Trump is more likely to first face possible criminal charges from Fani Willis, the Georgia state prosecutor investigating attempts by Trump and his allies to undo President Joe Biden’s win there in 2020. ″My guess is that by the end of this process, you’re going to see indictments involving high-level people in the White House, you’re going to see indictments against people outside the White House who were advising them with regard to the attempt to steal the election,” said Holder.

The DOJ is said to be presenting evidence and testimony before two federal grand juries in Washington, D.C., one of which is eyeing the plot cooked up by Trump’s lawyers and others to have so-called fake electors claim that the then-Republican incumbent won the election in their individual states. The other grand jury is investigating events leading up to the January 6the Capitol riot, when Trump’s supporters interrupted for hours the confirmation of Joe Biden’s Electoral College win by Congress.

Jill Wine-Banks, who served as an assistant Watergate prosecutor, says Trump is facing “monumental consequences” as the legal cases against him continue to find more evidence of his involvement in the plot while his lawyers scramble to find a legal way to protect him.
