WATCH: Trump Calls Vote by Mail Corrupt, Then Admits He Voted By Mail Last Month
The 2020 elections are likely to be unlike any other in our country’s history. With no guarantee that the United States will be fully re-opened by November, many are wondering how voting will be conducted. And there have been many calls for expanding voting by mail.
Voting by mail is already quite common. The GOP, however, has traditionally been against the format. When Donald Trump was asked about expanded voting by mail during Tuesday’s presser, he called the process corrupt. Seconds later, he was forced to admit that he voted by mail in Florida last month.
When the President was asked about the voting method, he said, “I think mail-in voting is horrible, it’s corrupt.”
A reporter quickly challenged him, “You voted by mail in Florida’s election last month, didn’t you?” Trump answered, “Sure. I can vote by mail.”
Curious about the hypocrisy, the reporter pressed the President, “How do you reconcile with that?” Trump replied, “Because I’m allowed to.”
