WATCH: Tim Walz Welcomed Back to Nebraska By Huge Home State Crowds

The good people of Omaha, Nebraska, welcomed home native son Tim Walz on Saturday as the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee held a solo rally in a packed arena.

Excitement for the now-Minnesota Governor's visit ahead of Monday's Democratic National Convention kickoff was evident even before the event began.

Walz grew up in the small towns of Valentine and Butte in the Sandhills, and often mentions his Nebraskan roots in his stump speeches as the proud Midwesterner he is.

Ironically, the Republican National Committee (which is basically the Trump National Committee) accused the Harris-Walz ticket on Saturday of not representing “Midwestern values” and said Nebraska voters “will send a resounding message” when they help put Trump in office.

You know, the guy from New York with the gold toilets who's running with a venture capitalist. Way more Midwestern appeal there.

The Coach's sold-out rally just happened to be taking place at the same time some guy named Donald Trump couldn't fill most of the seats for his own sad hatefest in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

The two campaigns are fighting for one great big single electoral vote. Just another reason to hope a Democratic Congress will pass legislation to abolish the Electoral College for President Kamala Harris to sign into law.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Walz are nationally polling ahead of the Trump-Vance ticket, which continues to lose momentum as the Democrats are about to kick off what's anticipated to be the most-watched political convention in modern history.

VP Harris is set to accept the Democratic nomination for President on Thursday night.
