When a recall effort was made against California Governor Gavin Newsom, Caitlyn Jenner saw the opportunity to thro her hat in the ring. She even made the effort of speaking with former Trump adviser Brad Parscale on how to best run her campaign.
It did not go well for her. Newsom easily survived the effort and Jenner only received 1% of the vote share. The reality star however, would like to stay in the public eye. So she talked politics with the ladies of The View on Tuesday. And when Jenner tried to defend Donald Trump, Sunny Hostin was ready for her.
Jenner complained, “We have to — the old school of people that are in there who have been in there forever, that have honestly, I feel like are destroying the Republican Party in so many ways — they have to move on, okay? There’s got to be a next-generation to come in, and I think they’re out there. And I’m hopeful that they’re out there, but we have to change. We have to do a better job. The other side — the media is against us. They won’t give the Republicans a fair break.”
Hostin jumped in, “With Trump as the head of the Republican Party, I think that’s kind of difficult.” Jenner countered, “With Trump as the head of the Republican Party, I think that’s kind of difficult.”
“He had an insurrection issue and a couple of impeachment issues as well,” Hostin shot back.
