Megyn Kelly was at one time, the biggest name is Conservative media. She was such a force that NBC lured her away from cable news with a massive contact. That opportunity ended nearly a year after it started when Kelly made controversial comments about blackface.
After a few quiet years, Kelly has reemerged on Instagram and YouTube with views that are seemingly more Conservative. Earlier this morning Kelly opined on what she thought was censorship of the classic movie Gone With the Wind. View host Sunny Hostin aggressively reacted to Kelly’s tweet, saying there are clearly bigger things to worry about.
After hearing that HBO Max was pulling Gone With the Wind from their programming, Kelly tweeted, “Are we going to pull all of the movies in which women are treated as sex objects too? Guess how many films we’ll have left? Where does this end??”

During Wednesday’s episode of The View, Hostin went in on Kelly. She told the audience, “My biggest concern right now isn’t the availability of Gone With the Wind on HBO. But a spokesperson for HBO Max has already explained that the film is going to return to HBO Max along with additional content to provide that context that you just described because the movie does in a sense, you know, glorify the confederacy and the antebellum South, and it doesn’t provide the true horrors of slavery.”
The host continued, “What what I find interesting is that someone like Megyn Kelly spent all morning tweeting about this. I would like to see that same energy from people on the right rather than talking about this issue, talking about the voter suppression that happened yesterday in Georgia, talking about the 112,000 Americans that are still dead from Covid.”
