Somebody needs to seriously mess with Texas. Beto, can you hear me?
An order by a Houston judge on Tuesday had reassured some clinics that they could temporarily resume abortions up to six weeks into pregnancy. But the Texas Supreme Court has blocked a lower court order that had allowed clinics in the state to continue performing abortions even after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned its landmark 1973 ruling that confirmed a Constitutional right to abortion. In just one week, Texas clinics have been turning away patients, rescheduling them, and now potentially canceling appointments again, causing major confusion and mimicking a pattern that has taken place across the country since Roe v. Wade was overturned. So that’s fun for the people in Texas who can’t afford to move away or travel back to the present day to make their own medical decisions. It was not immediately clear whether the clinics in Texas that resumed performing abortions just days ago would halt services again following the ruling late Friday night. A hearing is scheduled for later this month, which is going to be too late for too many people who needed reproductive care right away. There are still no laws controlling a man’s reproductive organs for some reason, even though no one can get pregnant without sperm. Even their own father’s sperm, you vile disgusting cultish “Christians”.
This is a case that is a decade old. Just to be clear. I was just asking what happens today?

Speaking of vile, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton quickly asked the state’s highest court, which is stacked with nine Republican justices, to temporarily put that order on hold. KKKen Paxton also wants to outlaw sodomy and make June 24th, the day the Supreme Court removed a Constitutional right for the first time in the nation’s history, a Texas state holiday. Paxton, like most white male Republicans, is clearly a repressed freak who can’t let other people just live and has a compulsive need to control women.
All of the states with trigger laws have been gleefully celebrating the SCOTUS ruling by now trying to make things even worse for pregnant people. Guns have more rights than uteruses. It’s fine, who needs to actually have any freedom in an alleged democracy?
Texas Supreme Court allows a 1925 abortion ban to go into effect. Yes, women of Texas have just been literally taken back a century!
This weekend, register ten 18-30 year-olds you know to vote! #RoeVWave
