WATCH: Texas Republican Set Vaccine Goal To Impress Him — Biden Just Hit It

A Texas Republican declared that he was unimpressed with President Joe Biden’s vaccination goals, and that he’d change his tune if the administration promised 200 million vaccines in the first hundred days. Biden just promised exactly that.

Texas Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw is not one of Joe Biden’s biggest fans. In January, he suggested that the administration was lying when it reported that Donald Trump had left no cohesive plan in place to get vaccines out in a timely and effective manner. He claimed that the 100 million vaccines in 100 days that the Biden Administration was promising would have been done as well under Trump.

“If the Biden Administration wants to impress us,” he said, “You know what? Double the goal. Say 200 million vaccines in 100 days. I will be impressed. I’ll go on the record right now and say that I will be impressed if you can do that.”

Well, Joe Biden just announced that his administration will have 200 million vaccinations done in his first hundred days — with less than half of that time period remaining.

“I know it’s ambitious,” President Biden says, “Twice our original goal, but no other country in the world has come close to what we’re doing. I believe we can do it.”

Biden’s hundred-day mark hits on April 30th. He has already promised that by the end of May, vaccines will be available for every adult who wants to be vaccinated.

Dan Crenshaw has not, at this time, released any follow-up statement addressing Biden reaching this goalpost.
