WATCH: Strategist Describes Bumbling Vance as an "Anvil' on Trump's Campaign

During an appearance on CNN this week, Democratic strategist Brad Woodhouse explained just how badly J.D. Vance is hurting the Republican ticket.

When Donald Trump made J.D. Vance his running mate, he was facing off against Joe Biden. Now his opponent is going to be Kamala Harris and women voters will play a massive role in the election.

The issue for Republicans is that Vance is a disaster with women. New clips of the Ohio Senator blasting Randi Weingarten, the leader of the American Federation of Teachers. He was especially angry that Weingarten didn't have children, saying

"You know, so many of the leaders of the left, and I hate to be so personal about this, but they’re people without kids, trying to brainwash the minds of our children. If she wants to brainwash and destroy the mind of children, she should have some of her own and leave ours the hell alone."

Woodhouse, a party activist, said of the comments:

"Who does he think he is? I mean, some people can't have children, some people have circumstances where they don't want children or can't have children at a certain time. I mean, this this is turning off suburban America. There is no doubt in my mind that J.D. Vance is huge anvil on Trump's chances of winning because of stuff like this, and they'll say, 'Well, he made one comment, it was sarcastic.' It's not, it's over and over and over, and it's really as Tim Walz would say, it's weird as hell."
