WATCH: Steve Bannon Says Weekend’s Demonstrations Show Republicans “Control the Streets”

This weekend, pro-Trump voters planned on holding a Million Maga March in Washington DC. The results were not all that impressive, especially when compared to the people that hit the streets a week before when the election was called for Joe Biden.

Still, some Republicans apparently believe that the turnout was impressive. Kayleigh McEnany tweeted out a false claim that there were actually one million people in attendance. Steve Bannon took it a step farther. The former Trump campaign chief claimed that the demonstration proved that, “we control the streets now.”

The turnout at the event is estimated to be around 10,000 people. Still, Bannon told viewers of his War Room: Pandemic show:

“Here’s the reason that you won and you’re going to take the oath of office. We control the streets now, and we control the streets with the most positive force. In our history, it always turns on the same thing, Jack, we’ve talked about this — this is a fourth turning. It always turns on the same thing.”

The GOP operative continued, “When the American people, who are slow to anger, once they get focused in turn the country goes to the next level and good things happen — in the Revolution, in the Civil War, in the Great Depression and World War II, this is the fourth turning. And it’s a great awakening and you can see the great awakening on Saturday, right? It’s coming up a notch. ”
