[WATCH] Stephen Colbert Rakes Rudy Giuliani Over the Coals in Blistering Monologue

There’s nothing more satisfying than watching smart and funny people destroy dumb people, which is why I’m so grateful to have so many smart and funny people still working on talk shows. Trevor Noah, host of “The Daily Show” was a brilliant and effective headliner at this year’s White House Correspondents Dinner. John Oliver regularly shreds the Republican Party into a fine powder on “Last Week Tonight.” Samantha Bee is an unsung heroine of the talk show circuit. And Jimmy Kimmel has his moments of nailing the more ridiculous parts of our culture. But no one truly nails the political humor quite like Stephen Colbert.

Colbert isn’t just brilliantly funny; at heart, he is a good person who wants all other people to be good people as well. Of course, that’s not going to be the case with most other people, but extra especially not the Retrumplican Party. It’s almost as if Colbert takes it personally that all of them are this egregiously terrible, and he’s just so offended by their every anti-American act that he employs his Catholic school background when dragging them to utter filth. There’s a special kind of shaming that comes with every Colbert excoriation, and so it’s no surprise that he gave Rudy “Colludy” Giuliani extra grief over the former Mayor’s thirsty social media climbing while he’s in all kinds of legal trouble.

Rudy Giuliani shouldn’t be hawking his Cameo account. He shouldn’t HAVE a Cameo account. But then again, Roger Stone has one, and I only know this because two years ago, one of my best friends got me a Roger Stone Cameo for my birthday. It’s extra funny to me because we were barely into the lockdowns and we had no idea what the eff was going on, plus also because Roger Stone blocked me on Twitter before he got banned, yet didn’t realize who he was praising, because Roger Stone will say anything you pay him to say.

But anyway, none of these mooks in the Trump Crime Syndicate should be doing anything except prison laundry, and I know I’m not the only one who’s fed up watching all of their buffoonery, just like Stephen Colbert. He just has a much bigger audience, is just one of the many differences between us.
