[WATCH] Stephen Colbert Eviscerates His Employers at CBS For Hiring Mick Mulvaney

When CBS News announced it had hired Donald Trump’s former Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney, to “provide his unique insight” on the GOP and the upcoming midterms, the outrage was almost immediate. Mick Mulvaney literally admitted quid pro quo with Ukraine on camera at a press conference. Mick Mulvaney conspired with Trump to get Joe Biden out of the presidential race in 2020. And until January 6, 2021, Mick Mulvaney was a faithful MAGA man.

Now, an insurrection should really be everyone’s bottom line, but lipless traitor Mick “The Literal Opposite of Jagger” Mulvaney doesn’t get any cool points for resigning just because the sight of some MAGA poop smeared on the Capitol walls pushed him over his personal edge. It’s not like he went over there and cleaned up any of that mess, or any of the other messes Trump made while he was on staff.

“#BoycottCBSNews” and “#BoycottCBS” trended shortly after the news dropped, with users lamenting over the more high-profile celebs on the CBS roster and in other projects from its parent company, Paramount.

As the trend grew stronger, many Twitter users also called on Stephen Colbert to comment on the hire. Colbert has never shied away from biting the hands that literally feed him, and has rightfully emerged as the voice of reason on a network that continues to put ratings and money over humanity.

Thankfully, Colbert and his team answered the clarion call to call out CBS. “You know I’m a company man — I love CBS, our parent company Paramount, and its parent company, probably a defense contractor who makes boner pills, there’s no way of knowing,” Colbert said during his opening monologue on CBS’s Late Show Thursday night. “Recently, my network got a lot of criticism, much of it from itself, because CBS News has hired the ex-president’s former chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, to ‘provide political analysis across the network’s broadcasts and platforms.’ For more, we go to The Late Show’s media analyst, Stephen Colbert.” His three-word response starts with the letters WTF, and in that moment, Stephen Colbert was once again all of us.

A grateful nation salutes you, Stephen!
