WATCH: SNL’s Opening Skit Mocks Ted Cruz’s Complaints About Sesame Street

Earlier this week, Sesame Street released a PSA encouraging children to get their COVID-19 vaccinations. This was nothing new for the show. The show has a history of recommending vaccinations that goes back to the 1970’s.

Still, the suggestion really fired up the Conservative outrage machine. Not surprisingly, Ted Cruz threw a tantrum over the spot. And last night, Saturday Night Live mocked Cruz and some of his other pals in government.

The skit opened with Marjorie Taylor Greene proclaiming, “Today’s episode is brought to you by Q,” Greene said while holding an AR-15. “Not the letter, the man. He will tell us when JFK, Jr. — who is alive — will reveal himself and help President Trump reclaim his rightful throne.

Cruz (portrayed by Aidy Bryant), then jumped in, “[I’m being] mocked for attacking Big Bird on Twitter, simply because I’m a human senator and he is an eight foot tall fictional bird.”
