WATCH: SNL’s Hysterical Take on the Mueller Report

With last weeks release of the Mueller report, the cast of Saturday Night Live was eager to put their spin on the news. They aired a skit last night featuring Alec Baldwin as Trump, Robert DeNiro as Mueller and Aidy Bryant as William Barr. The focus of the skit was Barr’s short summation of the report and his decision to allow the White House to make redactions.

Among the highlights are exchanges like these:

De Niro: “I am submitting these 380 pages.”

Bryant: “I am writing almost four pages.”

Baldwin: “I am reading zero pages, but Sean Hannity has read it and he was so excited that he texted me an eggplant.”

The skit also hit on the idea of redactions. DeNiro, as Mueller, said, ““In conclusion, it is my hope this report will be made public with a few redactions.” To which Baldwin as Trump replied, “We’re going to block out everything except the words no and collusion.”

SNL Trump was in his glory, crowing, “Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? Daddy is about to freak.” DeNiro’s Mueller, however, ended the skit with a final message for the president, “P.S. can’t wait to see what the Southern District of New York has in store for Trump.”
