WATCH: Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff Calls Out Trump For Refusing Another Debate

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff has recreated the standard for how men should support their wives and other women, openly supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for the presidency.

Emhoff has been a ubiquitous advocate for his wife, stumping for her in battleground states, holding fundraisers, and sitting for interviews, always with his signature good humor and affable personality on display.

In a new interview set to air on Monday's edition of "Morning Joe," the Second Gentleman was asked about the debate between Vice President Harris and Donald Trump, and why he thought Trump wouldn't agree to a rematch with his wife.

Never one to mince words, the potential "First GentleMensch" laid it out: Trump is scared to lose to the Vice President again in front of a global audience. "You saw the first debate, didn't you?" Emhoff replies. "Yeah, that's why. He got his ass kicked, and so he's afraid that that's going to happen again."

Emhoff said the same thing when asked the same question by the same network's Jen Psaki last month.

Instead of a debate, the Vice President has agreed to a CNN Town Hall on the same date, October 23rd. The Trump campaign has been offered the same courtesy but has not yet accepted.

Vice President Harris is currently leading Trump in most major national polls, with the most recent showing her increasing the point spread from three to six or seven in some key battleground states.

The Trump campaign did not respond to an inquiry regarding his decision to drop out of the second debate.
