Nearly two years after Donald Trump lost his bid for re-election, Rudy Giuliani is still looking for someone to blame. Today, it’s Fox News.

Giuliani and Steve Bannon chatted on Bannon’s podcast about the election, addressing points such as Giuliani’s suggestion to Trump that he (falsely) claim victory on election night while votes were still being counted. The former NYC mayor admits to this, but says he “spent an hour checking the numbers,” and felt Trump should “have been certified…by networks” because at that point he had “won” by such a margin.
Rudy Giuliani says he “spent an hour checking the numbers” and believes Trump “was cheated by the networks” because they didn’t call states Biden ended up winning for Trump.

“That’s what I advised him to do. Not only did I advise him to do it, I spent an hour checking the numbers. He had actually won by numbers where he would have been certified in prior elections by the networks. For example, he was ahead by 800k in Pennsylvania. Enough to be declared the winner. He was ahead by 3.5% with 90% of the vote cast in Atlanta. Enough to be declared the winner. It actually wasn’t just, ‘declare you won.’ It was, ‘go and declare you won based on the fact that if you weren’t being cheated by the networks you’d already have been declared the winner.’ And then they went ahead and Fox gave, which was it, Arizona, to Biden, and even by their own count, he won it by only like 10k votes. I mean that had to be a fix.”
Notably, despite Trump’s early lead, the final vote count, which was not done by any television network, including Fox News, gave Joe Biden a win in both Pennsylvania and Georgia. He won Arizona as well, and no network had the power to undo that by declaring otherwise.
