WATCH: Rudy Giuliani Explains Why Joe Biden Should be Impeached But Trump Shouldn’t Have Been

During his time in office, Donald Trump was not only impeached once, it actually happened to him twice. The first impeachment trial was heavily influenced by the actions of Rudy Giuliani. The sometimes Trump lawyer and former New York City mayor had been lobbying Ukraine to open up a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden.

Nearly every major news network has stopped booking Giuliani to appear on their shows. Steve Bannon, however, still has a spot for him. And during a recent interview, Giuliani told Bannon that Joe Biden should be impeached, but Trump never should have been.

Bannon asked, “I remember we would have you on [the show] many times and you warned the American people about the politicization and weaponization of the impeachment process. You warned us about weaponizing the impeachment process for things just like this. How would you weigh and measure that, your warning about the weaponization and over-politicization of it versus your charges against Joe Biden?”

Giuliani answered, “I would rather not have an impeachment. However, I think we’re dealing with a situation that just because the Democrats misused it, we can’t be denied the use of it when something is seriously harmful to the United States.”

“I think you have to do it,” Giuliani continued. “This is serious enough so that an American president who — maybe he’s doing it because he’s mentally incompetent but we don’t know that. And then he can defend himself that way.”
