WATCH: Right-Wing ‘Prophet’ Expects Trump Back In Office By June

Some of Donald Trump’s supporters still believe that the 2020 election isn’t yet settled. One right-wing preacher who calls himself a prophet has declared that by June, the former president will return to office.

In a clip captured by Right Wing Watch, Jeff Jansen, a self-proclaimed prophet, declares that President Joe Biden is not actually the President of the United States — “He is not, nor will he ever be.”

“Quite frankly, America voted in Donald J. Trump. President Trump is president,” he insists. “We will be rejoicing in the streets by March, April, May, June.”

Jansen insists there will be a “turnaround,” and that the world will rejoice.

He’s not the first Trump supporter to claim this. The Presidential Inauguration was not always held on January 20th. (the Library of Congress explains here that it was on March 4th, except in years in which that date fell on a Sunday, when it was instead held on the 5th, and in the case of George Washington, when the inauguration wasn’t until April 30). Some conspiracy theorists have relied on this to assert that, since the inauguration date was previously later in the year, there’s still time for Trump to be sworn in for a second term.

In fact, Jansen has made this same claim, insisting that the January 20th inauguration date was declared by an ‘illegitimate’ Constitutional amendment. (The Harvard Gazette explains here how Congress proposed and ultimately passed this amendment out of concern for the risks of such a long lame-duck period for an exiting president.)

He also leans on the claim that there was election fraud — a claim for which Trump’s supporters continue to provide no evidence whatsoever.
