WATCH: Republicans Nearly Boo Georgia Governor Brian Kemp off the Stage

Donald Trump was always happy to take whatever power the GOP was willing to give to him. The former president, however, has no interest in unifying his party or moving it forward.

Since he’s been out of office, Trump has been on the attack against politicians on both sides of the aisle. And one of his biggest targets is Brian Kemp, the Republican governor of Georgia. Trump is furious that Kemp didn’t abuse his power in an attempt to overturn the state’s election results.

It’s not only Republican lawmakers who are fiercely loyal to Trump, it’s the party’s voters as well. So when Kemp took the stage at a GOP event in Georgia this weekend, he was nearly booed off the stage.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Maya Prabhu shared a video of the moment, captioned, “Brian Kemp greeted at the Ga GOP convention with loud boos. He was speaking for about 30 seconds before it was quiet enough to hear him from the press area. But he got his first full applause when he mentioned Georgia being the first state to reopen during the pandemic.”
