WATCH: Rachel Maddow Celebrates Crushing Fox News in Ratings for Two Straight Months

For most of its history, Fox News dominated the cable news landscape. The Conservative cable channel was at the top of the ratings book for close to 20 years. But that dominance is now over and the Fox fall looks to be continuing.

The new champ of cable news is Rachel Maddow. Her 9 PM show has not only become the king of cable news, it is now the king of cable television. Maddow took time out of her show on Tuesday night to celebrate he ratings and thank her viewers.

The MSNBC host began, “In January, for the first time ever, this show was the most watched show on all of cable television. Which is crazy. Not just the most watched show on cable news, but the most watched show in all of cable TV, everything. That was in January, which was flummoxing and I though absolutely was a fluke. But then today, we learned that we did it for a second month on a row. But then today, we learned that we did it for a second month in a row. It turns out we were the most watched show in all of cable TV for both January and February.”

Maddow closed by saying, “I had no idea that there would ever be so many of you watching. It blows my mind personally, but I am so grateful and humbled. Thank you for supporting this show. Thank you for supporting MSNBC. We will keep doing our best to be worthy of your time and your trust.”
