Rudy Giuliani is largely a joke at this point. His attempts at overturning the election for Donald Trump led to a number of humiliating moments.
But the former mayor of New York City is also well remembered for his leadership following the 9/11 attacks. So Giuliani was invited to speak at a memorial for the 20th anniversary of the events. His rambling speech, though, led to many suggesting he was quite drunk during the address.
Giuliani attacked a number of figures during the speech. He said of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark Milley, “I wanted to grab his stars and shove it down his throat and say, ‘it’s 400 miles from China, a**hole! China is going to be our enemy for the next 40 years! You have an airbase 400 miles from them and you’re giving it up? Idiot! What the hell is wrong with you? Who pays you? Christ!”
The former mayor also talked about Queen Elizabeth, doing a poor impression of her and claiming she offered him a knighthood. He then discussed Prince Andrew, who is accused of being tie in with Jeffrey Epstein. “I know Prince Andrew is very questionable now. I never went out with him. Ever! Never had a drink with him, never was with a woman or young girl with him. Ever, ever, ever.”
Attorney Ron Filipowski shared a video of the event, writing, “I’m not sure I have ever seen someone give a speech at a formal occasion as drunk as Rudy Giuliani is right now at the 9/11 dinner.”
