The transcript of Donald Trump’s phone call with Volodmyr Zelensky revealed that he had asked the Ukrainian president to speak with Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani has been heavily involved in the Ukraine story and has regularly appeared on cable news to explain his situation.
One other person Trump wanted to speak with Zelensky was Attorney General William Barr. Barr has remained completely silent on the Ukraine matter thus far. Appearing on Morning Joe Friday morning, Nancy Pelosi, discussed Barr saying that he has gone rogue and may have committed a crime.
Pelosi then elaborated, “Well I think where they’re going is a coverup of the coverup. And that’s really sad for them, and to have a Justice Department go so rogue, well they have been for a while, and now it just makes matters worse. That the attorney general was mentioned, the president was mentioned, and yet the Justice Department directed the director of national intelligence to take this to the White House.”
The host cut in, “Which he said yesterday was unprecedented.” Pelosi continued, “Unprecedented. And he’s a person of great reputation, I felt sorry for him, because here he is having to, I mean just I don’t know what, I think that what he did broke the law.”
