Ted Cruz is not a courageous person. He has proven that plenty of times over the years. The Texas senator became one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters after the former president called his wife ugly and accused his father of killing JFK. Just last year, Cruz blamed his daughters for his decision to go on a tropical vacation during a weather disaster in Texas.
Yesterday, Ted Cruz called the attack on the Capitol a terrorist attack. He took plenty of heat in Conservative circles. And tonight, the Texas senator apologized to Tucker Carlson for referring to it that way and begged for the forgiveness of his viewers.
The Fox host began, “You called this a terror attack, when by no definition was it a terror attack. That’s a lie. You told that lie on purpose. And I’m wondering why you did.”
The cowardly senator responded, “The way I phrased things yesterday, it was sloppy and it was dumb.” Carlson interrupted Cruz, saying the senator chooses his words carefully.
The Texas senator continued the groveling, by saying, “Tucker, as a result of my sloppy phrasing, it’s caused a lot of people to misunderstand what I meant. Let me explain what I meant to say. What I was referring to was the limited number of people who engaged in violent attacks against police officers.”
