WATCH: NY Governor Kathy Hochul Apologizes to Florida For Donald Trump

During a speech at the Republican National Convention last night, New York Governor Kathy Hochul apologized to the state for Florida for Donald Trump.

Donald Trump was born in New York, became a public figure there, and made it his residence for decades. But the state and city has never loved the businessman. During the 2016 and 2020 elections he lost the borough of Manhattan by staggering amounts.

Kathy Hochul, the current Governor of New York told convention attendees last night, "Grit, determination, compassion. Those values have always defined the people of my state. Well, most of us anyway. Donald Trump was born a New Yorker, but ended up a fraud, a philanderer, and a felon."

The Democrat continued, "Trust me, America. If you think you’re tired of Donald Trump, talk to a New Yorker. We’ve had to deal with him for 78 long years—the fraud, the tax-dodging, the sham university, the shady charities."

Hochul closed:

"We’ve seen him stiff contractors, rip off workers. He abuses women, brags about it, and then takes away their rights. And New Yorkers are sick of it. It’s no wonder he had to flee to Mar-a-Lago—sorry about that, Florida, sorry about that. Trump hasn’t spent much time in New York lately. Except, that is, to get convicted of 34 felonies."
