Georgia is officially a problem for the Republican party. Once a reliably red stronghold, the state swung for Joe Biden during the 2020 election. And now the nation’s eyes have turned towards the Peach State as the January 5th special election will determine control of the senate.
One of the major forces of the Democratic turn in Georgia is former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. Abrams turned her anger about a dubious 2018 election into action, registering thousands of voters. She’s also become a major enemy to the Republican party. During a Friday broadcast, Newsmax host Chris Salcedo said that the politician isn’t entitled to power because of the color of her skin.
The host made the comments after a caller complained about the power Abrams wields in the state of Georgia.
“Kemp beat her,” Salcedo began. “What is his goal saying, you know, I’m just going to cover up the cheat. I don’t get it. And Stacey Abrams the queen of cheat. Her organization is now under investigation for all this fraudulent behavior. Stacey Abrams is a fraud. Stacey Abrams is the biggest, the biggest fraud, and frankly — I’m going to stop right there.”
The host later continued, “That woman is infuriating. To this day she’s not conceded the election she lost because she believes she’s entitled to power because of the color of her skin. Let me just tell you, Ms. Abrams, your skin color doesn’t entitle you to anything in the United States. You know what does? Merit. Hard work. And you seem to be allergic to the w-word. Work.”
