WATCH: New Political Ad Hits “Deranged Partisan Republicans” For Still Supporting Donald Trump

Donald Trump, according to Republican leaders, is the driving force behind the attack on the Capitol Building, a man who has lost touch with reality, and who cannot be trusted in a leadership position. According to the same leaders, he’s a man behind whom they’ll be happy to throw their entire support, seating him in the White House again for another term if they are given the opportunity.

The Republican Accountability Project has been calling out GOP hypocrisy and criminality since before the 2020 election, and now they’re calling out this willingness to support Trump, with a PSA styled to evoke the imagery of a rescue organization. The difference, though, is that they say hypocritical Republicans — those suffering “Partisan Derangement Syndrome” — are too far gone to be rescued.

Focusing on former Attorney General Bill Barr, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and former Governor Chris Christie, the ad reminds us that all three have suggested that Trump is responsible for actions that were harmful to the United States and to Democracy. All three have been willing — under the right circumstances — to acknowledge the dangers of Trump. Yet, all three have openly admitted that if Trump is, again, the Republican nominee, they’ll support him again, instead of standing up against him on behalf of the country.
Meanwhile, Trump is on the campaign trail, dropping regular reminders that he should be seen as a 2024 candidate, even though he hasn’t officially filed yet, and refuses to make any official declarations of candidacy.
