[WATCH] New Doc Details ‘Dangerous, Delusional’ Beliefs About Jan 6th

One hundred and seventy-five Congressional Republicans voted against the creation of an independent commission to investigate the January 6th insurrection on the Capitol, attempting to rewrite the history of that day by dismissing it as “normal tourist activity” or finding other excuses for the events of that day. As more members of the GOP openly justified their reasons for wanting to pretend the siege never happened and “move on” (while still clinging to the obsolete Benghazi narratives as counter-arguments), there is also more evidence to keep disproving their baseless gaslighting.

Appearing on “The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart”, ITV News correspondent Robert Moore shared never-before-seen clips from January 6th that are included in a new documentary he co-produced with Tim Maynard, “After the Storm: America’s Enemy Within” and should put any Republican revisions to a grinding halt.

WASHINGTON, DC – JANUARY 06: Protesters interact with Capitol Police inside the U.S. Capitol Building on January 06, 2021 in Washington, DC. Congress held a joint session today to ratify President-elect Joe Biden’s 306-232 Electoral College win over President Donald Trump. The documentary unfolds in real time as the crowd becomes increasingly agitated and violent, ultimately breaching all barriers and overcoming Capitol Police until they overtake the building, causing Congress to be evacuated as they roamed the halls calling for then-Vice President Mike Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The “tourists” stole Speaker Pelosi’s laptop, urinated and defecated on the Capitol floors and walls, and attempted to break into the Speaker’s Lobby, where Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed as she attempted to breach the doors.

Moore and Capehart spoke to both the GOP’s revisions of that day as well as the reality everyone saw as the events unfolded live on the internet and TV news. “If these are tourists, then I’m straight,” Capehart quipped sarcastically at one point.
