WATCH: Morning Joe Panel Explains Why They Won't Have Ronna McDaniel on the Show

It is pretty typical for people who work on political campaigns to end up on cable news. Jen Psaki, Nicolle Wallace and Kayleigh McEnany all took jobs in the media after working in the White House.

Ronna McDaniel, the long-time head of the RNC, also landed on her feet with a media job after Donald Trump exiled her for his daughter-in-law, Lara. But her role with ABC has started poorly and she has been bashed by talent within th network.

On Monday, the Morning Joe panel explained why they wouldn't have McDaniel on the show. Joe Scarborough bega:

"We learned about the hiring when we read about it in the press on Friday. We weren't asked our opinion of the hiring, but if we were, we would have strongly objected to it for several reasons, including but not limited to, as lawyers might say, Ms. McDaniels' role in Donald Trump's fake elector scheme and her pressuring election officials not to certify election results while Donald Trump was on the phone."

Mika Brzezinski then weighed in, "To be clear, we believe NBC News should seek out conservative Republican voices to provide balance in their election coverage, but it should be conservative Republicans, not a person who used her position of power to be an anti-democracy election denier. We hope NBC will reconsider its decision. It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on 'Morning Joe' in her capacity as a paid contributor."'
