WATCH: Morning Joe Embraces Trump’s ‘Morning Psycho’ Insult
Donald Trump has spent much of his morning ranting and raving about the news media. One show, however, that mostly remains immune to his criticism is Fox and Friends.
This morning, Trump ranked the morning shows, placing Fox & Friends on top and referring to Joe Scarborough, of ‘Morning Joe’ as a “psycho.” Scarborough embraced the president’s insults, featuring a chyron on his show that read, “Morning Psycho responds to faithful viewer.”
This morning, Trump tweeted, “Sorry to say but Fox & Friends is by far the best of the morning political shows on television. It rightfully has BY FAR the highest ratings, not even close. Morning Psycho (Joe), who helped get me elected in 2016 by having me on (free) all the time, has nosedived, too Angry.”

The president also took on CNN, writing, “Dumb and Sick. A really bad show with low ratings – and will only get worse. CNN has been a proven and long term ratings and beyond disaster. In fact, it rewarded Chris Cuomo with a now unsuccessful prime time slot, despite his massive failure in the morning. Only on CNN!”
While Fox & Friends does remain the number one morning show, Morning Joe has closed the gap significantly. For the 1st quarter of 2019, “Morning Joe” is up 10 percent compare to the first quarter of 2018. Meanwhile, Fox News and CNN’s morning shows are down 5 percent and 7 percent, respectively, year over year.”
Scarborough and co-host, Mika Brzezinski, who used to be close to Trump were happy for the publicity. They made sure to thank the president for watching and mocked his latest tweet storm.
