WATCH: Mika Brzezinski Loses It Over George W. Bush’s Cringey Iraq Flub

Donald Trump is constantly in need of recognition and affirmation. That is why the former President frequently holds rallies and basked in the presence of his supporters at Mar-a-Lago. Other former Presidents are seldomly in the public eye.

George W. Bush made a speech on Wednesday at Southern Methodist University’s Bush Center. The talk was largely focused on celebrating the heroism of Volodmyr Zelensky. But the only thing anyone will remember is Bush’s Iraq flub.

The 43rd President told the audience, “The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia, and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean, of Ukraine.”

Teasing clip of the flub, Mika Brzezinski told viewers, “I’m cringing even talking about it. Well, George W. Bush in Dallas. I can’t — do you know what I’m talking about?”

She then turned to her co-host and asked, “I don’t know, I might have to leave the room when we show it. It is a serious issue, No. 1, but so — I mean, I’ve never seen a gaffe like this, ever. How would you tease it, Willie? Help me out.”

Geist responded, “It’s a former president of the United States making a freudian slip, and a painful one, about the war in Iraq.”
