WATCH: Michael Wolff Explains Why Steve Bannon Would ‘Be in Heaven’ if He Went to Jail for Contempt

The House 1/6 Commission would like to speak to a number of figures from Trump World. While most of the figures involved have complained about being called to congress, the biggest stink has been made by Steve Bannon.

On Thursday, the House will vote on whether or not to hold Bannon in contempt for refusing a summons. According to Trump biographer, this is exactly what Bannon wants to happen.

Wolff made the comments while speaking with Laurence O’Donnell from MSNBC. He explained that, “this is exactly where Steve Bannon wants to be. Remember, Steve has been in the wilderness for the last three years since Trump forced him out of the White House. But the real pain in Steve’s heart is that the attention has been on Donald Trump — who Steve regards as, as stupid, crazy and a crook — rather than the attention being on Steve Bannon. So, yes, it’s a good day for Steve.”

O’Donnell asked what would happen if Bannon was to go to jail over a contempt charge. “He would be in Heaven,” Wolff answered. “He would literally be in Heaven. This would make his career and his life.”
