One of the few pieces of advice Barack Obama gave Donald Trump was to watch out for General Michael Flynn. Trump did the opposite, making Flynn his first National Security Adviser. The 45th president had to fire Flynn less than a month later.
And Flynn has certainly made some interesting choices since then. The former General has shared videos of himself seemingly taking the QAnon oath. And during a recent event in Texas, Flynn didn’t rule out a potential presidential run.
An audience member asked Flynn if he’d run. The crowd broke into a standing ovation. “My answer is I gotta ask my wife,” Flynn responded. “I’ve already had like four conversations with her this morning. Two were FaceTime, two were on the phone. You know, honey do stuff. So you know, maybe.”
If Trump doesn’t run an Flynn decide to do so, he’ll have at least one backer. Roger Stone recently told Newsmax, “Right now Flynn assures me he’s not a candidate for anything. He’s not interested in running for public office. But he’s interested in helping save this country.”
