Michael Cohen, who has experience being stiffed by Donald Trump, predicted the ex-president will never pay Rudy Giuliani for services rendered.
At this point, anyone who works for Donald Trump is doing so at their own risk. Trump has a long and detailed history of stiffing pretty much anyone who does something for him. And he’s willing to take contractors to court before he writes them a check.
Recently, a report surfaced that Giuliani would ask Donald Trump to pay his legal bills. This led to brutal mockery from Cohen. The former Trump lawyer talked about the situation with Joy Reid last night.
Cohen told the MSNBC host, “He’s going to get stiffed. All right? [Trump won’t be willing] to part with a single dollar.” The former Trump lawyer continued, “He thought Donald Trump was going to pay him $140,000 a day. He has a better chance of sling-shooting himself to the moon. It’s impossible! Donald Trump wouldn’t pay him two cents! Because his feeling is, it is an honor and a privilege to go to prison for him, to do his dirty work.”
The former Trump ally even talked about Giuliani’s rumored alcoholism. “The problem with Rudy is he drinks like a maniac, and the worst thing to do is drink and then go on television! He’s stupid, right, in order to drink the way that he does, and he’s more stupid to come on shows like yours or others trying to prove a point that he is absolutely guilty of. And all he’s doing is just creating more harm and giving Donald more of a reason why not to pay!”
