WATCH: ‘Masked Singer’ Criticized For Allowing Rudy Giuliani On Show

You can support the efforts of an ousted former president to overturn an election and sow distrust in the nation’s election process, or you can get applause and cheers for appearing on an entertainment show and singing in a colorful costume, but not both. At least, that seems to be the consensus as the criticism rolls in for The Masked Singer, after Rudy Giuliani appeared on the show.

The entertainment industry shouldn’t be helping a man whose law license was suspended for his own efforts to discredit American institutions and democracy, the Twitterverse is saying, after an episode of The Masked Singer featured a surprise appearance by Giuliani, former New York City Mayor and former attorney to the then-President of the United States.

As you can see below, even host Ken Jeong walked off the set upon Giuliani’s appearance.

The response on social media has not been in Rudy’s favor. People are tweeting to the show and network to say that allowing Giuliani to use their platform to “rehab his reputation” after his support of the Big Lie is reprehensible.

Meanwhile, Giuliani is now trying to distance himself from the January 6th investigation, saying in an interview that the ‘stolen election’ claims he pushed on social media, on television, and in courts, are not his own claims, but just information he was passing along, that others reported to him. This comes as the investigation begins to close in on central participants, and public hearings are expected to commence in coming weeks.
