People are still defending Joe Rogan’s podcast in light of Spotify’s latest non-response to the controversy, and perhaps no one is doing so more disingenuously than Rogan himself.

Whenever Rogan’s rhetoric comes up, someone is sure to pop up with a response to the effect of “Have you actually listened to him, or are you just judging him based on what you’ve heard about him?”
Well, it seems as though when Rogan recently posted a nonpology video in which he says, “if I p***ed you off, I’m sorry,” he must have also hoped that no one criticizing him was paying attention to what he actually said. In this mashup, alternating between clips from his recent video, and clips from the podcast, it’s extremely clear that what he’s saying now doesn’t represent what he’s been saying all along.

That’s right, in his new video, he insists he’s “not trying to promote misinformation,” and that he corrects guests who make false claims — but as you can see, he has also said on that podcast that children don’t need the vaccine, and that he’d advise a healthy 21-year-old not to get it. You can also see him failing to challenge unsupported claims about ivermectin — and of course, he promoted ivermectin on his social media as well, saying that he took it along with other treatments (including some, like monoclonal antibodies, that actually have medical backing) when he himself contracted COVID-19.
So, does Joe Rogan promote medical disinformation and anti-vax propaganda? Well, you decide who to believe about that: Joe Rogan, or Joe Rogan.
