WATCH: Mary Trump Explains Barron Trump Bowing Out of GOP Delegate Opportunity

Barron Trump, soon to graduate from high school, has been in the news quite a bit lately. The former President invoked his son when attempting to avoid having to show up to court by saying he wanted to attend his son's graduation.

The former President's son was in the news again this week when he was named a Florida delegate for the RNC. It didn't take long for Barron (likely through his Mother) to announce that he wouldn't be taking the honor.

Mary Trump, the former President's niece, discussed the situation on MSNBC this weekend. She began, "He is trying to make this another family business that would likely fail. If that is the case, it’s another way in which Donald is always putting himself first. Barron is 18 years old and has not graduated from high school yet. He needs to be out of this."

Trump continued, "Thankfully somebody came to their senses and pulled the idea. It never should have happened in the first place. We can get the sense of where Donald is heading and making sure all of his family members are in key positions politically."
