WATCH: Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Vaccine Passports The ‘Mark Of The Beast’

Marjorie Taylor Greene, America’s Congressional Princess of Outrage, has a new fear to peddle. This time, she’s concerned about vaccine passports, and she’s making a fuss of Biblical proportions — complete with Biblical references, in fact.

In the clip below, Greene acheives a number of feats in under a minute. First, she equates vaccine passports with the Biblical ‘Mark of the Beast’ while also attributing them to Joe Biden, seeming to hint at some presidential connection to the Antichrist. Then, she equates fascism and communism, cementing the reality that these, along with socialism, have no definition for conservatives other than “thing I don’t like.” Finally, she invents the term “corporate communism,” perhaps unaware of the irony of conflating communism and corporations.

The Biden Administration has made clear that the government won’t be involved in any vaccine passport plans. CBS reports that during a COVID-19 briefing, Andy Slavitt, acting director for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services explained, “The government here is not viewing its role as the place to create a passport, nor a place to hold the data of — of citizens. We view this as something that the private sector is doing and will do.”

This hasn’t stopped Greene from describing the idea as a Biden initiative, and repeatedly giving him ownership of it.

In a series of tweets, she insisted that vaccine passports would, by definition, remove choice and create HIPAA violations (getting the acronym for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act correct in some of the tweets).

Notably, HIPAA does not forbid an individual to share their own health information with anyone they choose, so voluntarily joining a vaccine passport program, and/or voluntarily showing one’s vaccine passport to enter an amusement park or concert venue would not violate HIPAA.
