During the 2022 midterms, Republicans assumed they would take back both the Senate and the House. With that kind of power, they could stop Joe Biden from doing anything he planned on doing.
That didn't happen. Democrats retained the Senate and the Republicans won the House by a razor-thin margin. That House control has given the the GOP the opportunity to run probes into what they call the Biden Crime Family. Those probes, though, have not revealed any of the things Republicans claim are happening.
Maria Bartiromo brought Republican Senator Roger Marshall on her show Wednesday morning to complain about the failures. She told the Kansas Republican, "Senator, it really is disheartening to see all of the oversight that you all are trying to do, whether it's IRS, FBI, DOJ, and just having very little luck."
The host continued, "Senator, we sell all of the corruption in plain sight. We know what has gone on at the FBI with all the politicking with all the leadership. Will you be able to move the needle on any of this?"
Finally allowed to talk, Marshall replied, "Well certainly on the Senate side, we're not going to be able to. I'm going to go back to an earlier point, the American people, the people of Pennsylvania, of Georgia, of Arizona, of Nevada, they gave us a Democratic Senate. They control the agenda."
