Trump's complete lack of awareness can often get those people around him in trouble, and that isn't just in politics. During a recent interview on CNN, Maggie Haberman described the terrible position Donald Trump put his Mar-a-Lago staffers in.
The New York Times reporter was discussing the case of Brian Butler, a former Mar-a-Lago staffer has spoken about being ordered to move boxes of classified documents onto an airplane before Trump flew off.
Haberman remarked, "Brian Butler, as far as I know, does not have a security clearance. and so a lot of people were around these documents who don't have security clearances."
The reporter continued, "He's a central witness. He's describing a scenario where the former president put a lot of his employees, not just people who worked at Mar-a-Lago to people who worked for him and his post-presidential life... in a dangerous situation because they are handling boxes that had classified material."
